giveaway

Today I'm pleased to be hosting a little fabric giveaway, courtesy of Pat Bravo.
Up for grabs are two different bundles...(10 fat quarters each) in some of my favorite colors ever!
Aren't they so pretty? I know from experience that Art Gallery fabrics are super soft and great to work with!

If you would like to be in the drawing, please leave me a comment. One per person please. In your comment, I'd love to hear if you have any New Year's eve plans. Or else you can tell me something you are looking forward to next year. I'll plan to pick two winners on Monday.

I'd like to take the time to say a big THANK YOU to each and every one of you for reading my little blog, leaving such wonderful comments and for all your encouragement this past year. I appreciate it very, very much! xoxo

Hope you have a wonderful and safe New Year's!

Happy New Year!

New Years Eve I'll be playing darts with my fiance and hopefully enjoying some cupcakes! In 2012 I'll be getting married and graduating with my PhD. And making (at least) 3 quilts. It's going to be a great year!

Thanks for being a continually inspiring and honest presence here in the blogosphere. The quilt you made with your daughter is one of my favorites for 2011! I love the story of how it was made, too.

Happy New Year!

I am too old to stay up long enough on NYE to ring in a new year. I usually watch the 3 grandkids (7,7 and 2)and we have our own little party before midnight with horns and hats and treats.

In 2012 I plan to make both sane and crazy quilts for family, friends and charity and challenge myself and work another year closer to retirement. And who knows...I may just enter a quilt into a competition next year (or the year after or the year after I retire)!

I don't have New Year's Eve plans, but New Year's Day plans! A composer friend of mine has an annual get together at his house with a set menu. We sing rounds and eat really great food - two of the best things ever to start a new year right.

I love Pat Bravo - I'm building up a good collection in my stash. New Years Eve will be spent in front of the tv with a nice bottle of bubbly.

No exciting New Year's eve plans - I hope it's quiet, watching some movies. Over the holiday weekend, I hope to organize my fabric and play with my Christmas gift...a Go Baby.

Thanks so much for the chance. The fabrics are beautiful!

I'm going to run a 5K on our treadmill, starting at the ball drop, so that I start the year off right! One of my big goals next year is a full marathon. And, every time I run, I earn sewing time- no guilt about hours in front of my machine if it counts as running recovery time! Thanks for the chance to win such pretty fabrics!

Love your blog, Amanda. I appreciate your easy-to-understand instructions. Our plans for tomorrow are to spend it with another family. Four adults and four kids under 6 yo. Trying to keep the small ones awake as long as possible. Our son (now 5) was awake until 11 last year...

I am to make a cake for dessert and hope it will turn out alright! Had to redo the cake tonight as the first one fell apart before it was decorated... Keep your fingers crossed!

(I hope it is ok for international entries as well, even if I am to visit the US in the end of january)

Lovely fabrics...I'm drooling over the pinks since I have to make a quilt to raise money for breast cancer research in 2012.

No specific plans for New Year's Eve or Day other than listening to the endless football games with one ear as I listen to the hum of my sewing machine with the other ear. Quilting ahead, hopefully some serious quilting with a lot of finishes in 2012.
Thanks for all the ideas and plans and inspiration you send our way, week after week. Those green FQs are triggering the taste of lime sherbet in my mind. Yummy!

I plan to keep up a very long standing tradition for New Year's Eve: homemade pizza. Then maybe a movie and some resolutions that I fully intend to break (also traditional). I envy whomever wins this fabric because my little Pixie's favorite colour is pink and my Punk loves green. These would fit into my pathetically tiny stash very nicely. Have a great new year and keep up the good work. You are inspiring to many.

Greetings AmandaJean! What a lovely way to begin the New Year!

Our traditional New Year's Eve is spent with our children, ages 17, 14, 10 and 8. Crab legs with butter, shrimp with cocktail sauce, salad and potatoes are our traditional meal. After cleaning up dishes we will play games, and at 10:00p we will watch It's A Wonderful Life. That usually concludes just in time to watch the ball drop, ringing in the new year with Egg Nog and cookies.
While we have had a number of other offers for different get togethers, there's just some things we don't mess with - our children are set on maintaining this family tradition which they actually talk about all year!

Something we look forward to - we are looking forward to making a move after living 22 years in the same home, and are committed this year, thanks to Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, to becoming debt free! Looking forward to the freedom that will allow us!
Blessings to you and yours! May y'all prosper in every way this coming year!!

Wow! What a huge number of comments, you are so popular. Our New years eve will be quiet after the excesses of Christmas. A home cooked dinner, a movie and a bottle of wine. A quiet reflection on the year that was and a new beginning. Happy New Year.

For New Years Eve I plan on falling asleep in the chair next to my husband as he channel surfs. He will wake me up right before the ball drops, we will kiss, slow dance, and then go to bed. Last year I missed the ball dropping so we rewound the tv on TIVO and did it that way. LOL. Happy New Year. Thanks for the chance to win the yummy fabric!

My plans for new years eve is to hang with my husband and two daughters (3 and 1). We were invited to a few parties but are looking forward to having some family time instead!

My quilting plans for the new year - I'm going to make your pattern that has the squares on top of squares and you quilt right away (sorry I can't remember the name) and my husband thinks I'm awesome and wants me to attempt a hunter star quilt - Oh My - Thanks for the support honey! ;)

I'm happy I've found you - thank you for your wonderful blog!

we are staying home and going to bed early. about 10 years ago we were in times square for NYE. We had to walk about 3/4 miles (me in heels) to get to a broadway show then walk all the back to our hotel after midnight (still in heels) I don't ever need to do that again

We celebrate New Year's with friends, we go to dinner then have a night of playing games. Couldn't get much better. Looking forward to our second set of grandtwins to be born the end of January. Grandkids are the best.

No fancy NYE plans here - just hanging out at home! We live in a town with a "party school," so going downtown (or really going out anywhere) is probably way more trouble than it's worth!

Beautiful bundles. Thank you for the chance to win!

We will be at home and our close friends are coming for the night. We met at ante natal classes 4.5 years ago and have had great times together since. We will have games with the kids and then champagne and good food after they are in bed.

I only really got into quilting (and quilting blogs) this year and you have been such an inspiration. I wish you a happy new year and looking forward to getting your book!

Our New Year's eve tradition is to stay in, play games, watch the ball drop (wake up my husband at 11:59, he's sleeping on the couch by then), we're all in bed by 1am.We've done this since the kids were little--the baby is 24!
Happy New Year!!
