giveaway

Did you see that DeeRoo is leading Round 9 (!!!) of the Old Red Barn quilt along? She is doing variations on a theme...and the theme is Ticker Tape. I have a bunch of small scraps...and these would be perfect for a Ticker Tape quilt. I'm going to give these scraps away to one reader.
There are lots of scraps!
All you have to do is leave a comment here and you will be entered into the drawing. My one stipulation is that you can't make fun of the size of fabric scraps I save. I can't help myself...I have a hard time throwing any fabric away. Obviously. :)

Happy Monday to you!

The quilt-a-long looks like a lot of fun. It's too bad that I won't have the time to start a new one since I'm heading back to college on Saturday. I'd love to get a bucketful of your scraps for other projects though. I save all of my scraps as well, I just need to develop a better system for storing them. Happy new year!

Sounds like a huge challenge, especially because I still haven't finished the quilt along I started with you this summer!! But isn't that what quilters do, have a list of UFO's. We need to keep inspired in many ways.

Make fun of your scraps? Of course not, I have a similar sized box of scraps. I can't bear to throw away fabrics - especially ones I know I will never be able to replace. Denyse Schmidt Katie Jump Rope for example. In fact most of what people in blogs call scraps I still have neatly folded in my colour boxes!

Wow, I'd love to give the ticker tape quilt a go. Having only completed 3 quilts (I only started mid last year and have done them all by hand sewing!), I've not yet managed to accumulate very many scraps of my own yet. This would be a fantastic way to add a whole lot to my collection very very quickly. And given the size of some of the pieces I've put aside (just so pretty, I can't bare to throw them out) it would be hypocritical for me to laugh at yours! My fingers are crossed.
oh, and happy new year, hope this one's an awesome one.

Kim.
