giveaway!

Yesterday was winter solstice, which means as of today, the days start getting longer. Yipee! That's great news if you ask me. So, to celebrate, (yes, I  am serious, I'm celebrating!) I'm giving away a 2 charm packs of Kona cotton solids in the dusty and dark color palettes. I'll pick two winners, (one charm pack for each) on Christmas Eve. Here's to longer days!!! Hope you are ready for Christmas. :)

Happy winter solstice to you! Down here in Australia though, it means I'm now on the countdown for winter - our summers are far too hot and dry, definitely inappropriate for quilting! The dark and dusky colours would be perfect to start making a snuggly cuddly quilt for the sofa for winter though!
Merry christmas to you and yours.

Yeah to longer days and warmer weather.

Ah, winter solstice.... one of the reasons I think I could go to Alaska (in the summer) is the long days they have.

My birthday is Dec. 21 - yep, winter solstice - the shortest amount of daylight of the year. So I get gypped every year! At least I know that once I have my birthday, that every day we get another minute or two of light and are headed back to comfortable temps!
